2020 NRCHA Derby Relocated

By May 9, 2020No Comments

The NRCHA Derby, historically held in Paso Robles, California, will be held June 7 – 14, 2020, at WestWorld of Scottsdale, in Arizona.

The decision to move forward, safely, with the Derby was not taken lightly. When it became apparent the state of California’s re-opening timeline would most likely affect the Derby, we began to seek alternative options. After much planning, reviewing and deliberating over multiple venues in multiple states, the Board of Directors decided to host the Derby in Scottsdale, Arizona. WestWorld had the same show dates available and the facility size accommodates social distancing guidelines. We are working on a plan that conforms to official guidelines for the benefit of all attendees. The event will be closed to the public.

The entry deadline has been extended to May 20th. Additional information regarding hotels, entry forms, etc. will be available in the upcoming days.

We would like to send a big thank you to all the various venue staff who worked so hard to make the Derby happen. We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding in these trying times.

We felt it was in the best interest of our owners, riders, members and sponsors to hold this premier event. Please remember, it is everyone’s own decision to enter the show. We look forward to safely seeing our friends and family next month.
