The National Reined Cow Horse Association is pleased to announce a new Corporate partnership with CURT and Ranch Hand, both of which are owned by Lippert Components. The established truck accessory companies go hand-in-hand with the reined cow horse lifestyle, joining mutual goals to protect reined cow horses and their riders on the road.

A comprehensive towing product manufacturing company, CURT was founded in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and is still based there. The CURT product line features trailer hitches, brake controllers, trailer parts and accessories, and much more. Ranch Hand is best known for a complete line of protective grille guards, front and rear bumpers, and running steps. The company is still based in Shiner, Texas, though it was acquired by Lippert, the nation’s leading supplier of components to the recreational vehicle industry.

“I couldn’t be more excited to welcome CURT and Ranch Hand to the NRCHA family,” said NRCHA Executive Director Anna Morrison. “Our horse show experiences begin and end with travel, and it’s good to have partners who are committed to helping our members and their horses get down the road safely.”

Protecting our cow horses starts with having the best equipment to move them from barn to horse show, or breeding barn, and then home. With CURT and Ranch Hand, the NRCHA leverages a partnership that speaks to the heart of its membership’s driving desire for safety on the road.

“We see the amazing passion NRCHA members have for their horses, the cow horse community and the organization as a whole,” said Krista Parin, Director or Channel Marketing. “Developing product solutions geared towards ranchers and equine enthusiast alike is a focus for us and we can’t wait to see how we can work together in the future.”

A fully outfitted truck is on display for NRCHA participants and event attendees of the 2021 DT Horses Western Derby in Scottsdale, Arizona, to familiarize with the CURT towing products and Ranch Hand accessories offered from the new Corporate Sponsor.

Visit the DT Horses Western Derby at the WestWorld of Scottsdale event center June 2 through 13 to see the nation’s top cow horses compete and also visit the NRCHA Trade Show. If you can’t make it to the event, view CURT’s products at and learn more about Ranch Hand products by visiting

With a full slate of horse show classes, the DT Horses Western Derby is set to be another huge event, especially with the $80,000 added to the Open 4- and 5-year-old Derby. The CD Survivor Open Bridle Spectacular, sponsored by Holy Cow Performance Horses, includes $25,000 in added-money to the top Open bridle horse at the event. In addition, $20,000 is added to the Non Pro division and $10,000 is added to the Non Pro Limited horse show class for the Derby, as voted on by the NRCHA Board of Directors last year. This year also launches the CD Survivor Bride Horse Memorial Super Spectacular, adding a fourth event—roping—to the spectacular. Open riders and Non Pro riders can compete in the four-event challenge. For more information, visit
