Herd work preliminaries for the Snaffle Bit Futurity Open divisions continued for a second full day at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center, with a new leader thus far in the first of three preliminary events.

Open

Pepe Le Wright (Hes Wright On x Soula Jule Forever x Soula Jule Star), shown by Paso Robles, California, professional Phillip Ralls, scored a 221.5 to lead the go-round thus far. Pepe Le Wright is bred by NRCHA Breeder Sponsor Gardiner Quarter Horses, and owned by Jim and Linda Schrack.

Intermediate/Limited Open

The high score so far in the Futurity Intermediate and Limited Open divisions belongs to Do It In Pink (Cat Man Do x Pretty Pink Boots x Doc O Boots), shown by Ben Baldus. Do It In Pink is bred and owned by the WT Waggoner Estate.

Level 1 Limited Open

In the Level 1 Limited Open, James Dixon rode his own horse, Kaweahs Pepinic (Smart Little Pepinic x Bueno Dual Pep x Mister Dual Pep) to a score of 213.5 to lead the division.
