2020 NRCHA Stallion Stakes Update

By July 31, 2020No Comments

The NRCHA Stallion Stakes, historically held in the Spring, will return to the South Point Hotel and Casino August 22 – 30. The Stallion Stakes features 4-and 5-year-old horses who are sired by subscribed stallions. In addition to this robust limited age event, the Stakes offers a complete set of horse show classes and several three-event spectaculars. For 2020 only, the NRCHA Stakes will include an event for 3-year-old horses, a Pre-Futurity.

Face coverings will be required to be worn correctly when on the South Point Hotel and Casino property. The ONLY exception to wearing a face covering is when a person is horseback. Additional safety procedures such as temperatures checks, spread out stall assignments, limited number of people in the show office at one time, blocked off seating sections and other social distance requirements will be in place. These requirements will be monitored by the show staff and facility staff constantly. We ask all attendees to be respectful and follow of the guidelines set forth by the local officials and facility. We are looking forward to hosting the NRCHA Stallion Stakes on rescheduled dates. Please do your part to make sure the event will be a success from start to finish.

Restaurants and other casino amenities will be open, with social distance guidelines in place. The main entry doors, at the top of the escalators, that open onto the concourse of the main arena will be closed. To get into the arenas, attendees must have barn access on their room key.
