Pilot Point, Texas—The National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) celebrates the maternal side of the sport by recognizing each dam whose offspring surpass $500,000 in total earnings. Shiners Little Oak, a 2002 palomino mare by Shining Spark and out of Oaks Little Diamond, by Doc’s Oak, is the latest remarkable dam to reach this milestone.
Bred by Carol Rose and owned by San Juan Ranch, Shiners Little Oak has three six-figure earners who contribute to her success as a dam of reined cow horses. These figures are NRCHA lifetime earnings as of July 7, 2025.

“We’re very excited for another mare we raised to achieve this milestone,” said Brenda Stephenson, owner of San Juan Ranch with her husband, John. “Shiners Little Oak has produced some great cow horses. Stylish Little Oak won the NRCHA Snaffle Bit futurity® and has produced more than $120,000 herself. With Shining Spark as her sire, Shiners Little Oak has all the talents needed for NRCHA and roping events. They’re great fence horses and reiners. They’re also beautiful and have great conformation.”
This marks San Juan Ranch’s second leading NRCHA mare, the first being Shiners Diamond Girl, with her produce earning $727,897.26 as of early July 2025.
