Shiners Diamond Girl Becomes NRCHA $750,000 Dam

By December 9, 2025No Comments

Weatherford, Texas—Shiners Diamond Girl (Shining Spark x Zans Diamond Jackie x Zans Diamond Sun), owned by San Juan Ranch and bred by Carol Rose, is the National Reined Cow Horse Association’s (NRCHA) newest $750,000 dam. The 2002 palomino mare collected more than $64,000 in the show pen herself and now continues to prove to be a force as a dam of champions. San Juan Ranch also owns Shiners Little Oak, a dam whose offspring surpassed $500,000 in NRCHA earnings earlier this year.

“Having two San Juan Ranch mares achieve $500,000 and $750,000 has contributed to San Juan Ranch being the No. 1 NRCHA Breeder,” shared Brenda Stephenson, owner of San Juan Ranch. “San Juan Ranch is delighted to have these great mares in our breeding program. They can do it all!”

Shiners Diamond Girl’s top NRCHA performers include (as of December 4, 2025):

  • SJR Talkin Diamonds (2017 stallion by Smooth Talkin Style): $198,845.36; 2024 The American Performance Horseman Cow Horse Champion; 2022 NRCHA Derby Reserve Champion.
  • CD Diamond (2009 stallion by CD Olena): $140,320.46; 2012 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® Open Champion.
  • SJR Royal Diamond (2018 stallion by One Time Royalty): $119,190.26; 2021 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® Open third place

“Shiners Diamond Girl’s influence in reined cow horse is undeniable,” said NRCHA Executive Director Emily Konkel. “Congratulations to San Juan Ranch and their connections on this notable achievement.”
