Weatherford, Texas—National Reined Cow Horse (NRCHA) professional Shane Steffen became an NRCHA Million Dollar Rider with his earnings from the 2025 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity®. The Powell Butte, Oregon, horseman placed sixth in this year’s event, and the $55,000 check pushed him past the milestone.
Steffen’s many years as an NRCHA competitor got him to $1 million in lifetime earnings. Some of his most significant achievements include:
- 2021 NRCHA World’s Greatest Horseman® with Gunna Be A Smartie.
- 2012 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® Intermediate Open Champion with Lenas Buddy Nic.
- Multiple-time NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® finalist.
- Multiple-time champion in pre-futurities.
