Pilot Point, Texas—The National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) added another stellar sire to its ranks of Million Dollar Sires when the offspring of Hottish (Spots Hot x Stylish Play Lena x Docs Stylish Oak) earned more than $1,000,000 in NRCHA competition. The 2008 sorrel stallion, who passed in 2020, was owned by Dustin and Deena Adams and was bred by Double Dove Ranch.
“Hottish becoming an NRCHA Million Dollar Sire is huge for us,” remarked Deena Adams. “It’s very rewarding to watch his legacy grow. We’re grateful for the advances in science that allow us to continue his breeding career, and we love how ‘Hottie’ continues to bless our family and so many others. We’re very proud.”
Adams added that Hottish’s breeding made him stand out among his peers, and he shares his conformation, athleticism and temperament to his offspring. His top performers include the following reined cow horses, as of July 9, 2025.
- Hott Rod (2015 stallion out of Sugars Smart Kitty); 2022 World’s Greatest Horseman® Champion; $351,514.01
- Roanmeo (2020 stallion out of Trouble N Roan); 2025 Tres Osos Derby Open Champion; $262,866.72
- DT HotLilShineyChex (2019 stallion out of Lil Miss Shiney Chex); 2024 Stallion Stakes Open Reserve Champion; $71,874.04
“Hottish is another example of an outstanding crossover sire of reined cow horses,” said NRCHA Executive Director Emily Konkel. “His legacy only stands to grow in NRCHA as his get continue to compete in reined cow horse events.”
