Mission & Programs

The mission of the NRCHA Foundation is to support the reined cow horse community and honor the legacy of reined cow horse sport through the enactment of charitable and educational programs. Our good works focus on supporting the  scholarships, and heritage preservation, and are dependent upon the charitable support of the NRCHA family.

Thanks to the incredible support of our NRCHA members and donors, the NRCHA Foundation continues to grow and expand its reach within the reined cow horse community. Together, we’ve made a lasting difference:

  • $100,000+ in scholarships awarded to help shape the future of our youth

  • 45+ members annually—of all ages—benefit from Foundation support programs

Historical Preservation

Historical Preservation is key to keeping our western industry alive and thriving in a modern world. Without these efforts, we would forget where our industry started, and how we grow from there. We partner on the NRCHA Hall of Fame, where we recognize people and horses who have made a difference within the organization.

Crisis Fund

We understand members come across challenges in their professional and personal lives. In order to better support members, we created the Crisis Fund to assist members and their families who are experiencing a crisis through their participation in the sport.

Youth & Scholarships

Our youth are our future, and we are dedicated to seeing them succeed in their endeavors, in and out of the show pen. The Foundation offers a variety of scholarships and grants that encourage them in the classroom, and supporting their show goals.
