The National Reined Cow Horse Association (NRCHA) recently added Call Me Mitch (Metallic Cat x Miss Hickory Hill x Doc’s Hickory) to the list of NRCHA Million Dollar Sires. The 2011 bay roan is owned by Phillip Ralls and was bred by James Eakin.

Call Me Mitch is a champion in his own right, winning the 2023 NRCHA World’s Greatest Horseman®. In 2014, he placed sixth in the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® and won the National Stock Horse Association Pre-Futurity. His elite athleticism carries on to his offspring. Call Me Mitch’s top-earning offspring include (as of October 17, 2025):

  • Ive Been Everywhere (2021 stallion out of Travalano Missy); $153,747.83; 2025 NRCHA CINCH Stallion Stakes Reserve Champion.
  • Son Of A Mitch (2017 gelding out of Jackies Sparkle); $148,308.45; 2020 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® seventh place.
  • Itchin Ta Shine (2019 stallion out of Sheza Shinette); $98,308.45; 2022 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity sixth place.

“We’re excited to witness Call Me Mitch continue his performance legacy in the breeding barn,” said NRCHA Executive Director Emily Konkel. “Congratulations to Phillip Ralls on this achievement and perpetuating his horse’s contributions to reined cow horse.”
