Ward Ranch

Million Dollar Status

The histories of NRCHA and its California roots are forever connected to the Ward Ranch, from patriarch Greg Ward to his son John, who are both members of the NRCHA Hall of Fame. With that in mind, it’s no surprise that Ward Ranch in Tulare, California, joins the list of NRCHA Two Million Dollar Breeders, racking up the checks one dollar at a time, beginning back when the winners’ checks were a fraction of what’s awarded today.

Many of the ranch’s standout cow horses trace back to Master Remedy, sire of three NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® Champions: Master Checks (out of Bueno Chex Kaweah), Otoe Master (out of Sizzlin Otoe) and Masteroani (out of Just Docs Socks).

Top performers bred by Ward Ranch include Reminics Pep (Reminic x Peppy Remedy x Peppy San Badger; 1998 NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity® Open Champion), with more than $128,000 in NRCHA lifetime earnings; Gotta Go Get It, (Smart Little Pepinic x Got Mister x Mister Dual Pep) with more than $77,000 in NRCHA lifetime earnings; and Miss Plain Plain (Just Plain Colonel x Miss Master Blaster x Master Remedy; 2004 and 2005 World’s Greatest Horseman® Reserve Champion), with more than $70,000 in NRCHA lifetime earnings.
