Update on NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Sales We hope everyone is enjoying the first signs of spring, and remind you that it's not too early to begin to think about marketing your horses in 2011. We'd like to invite you to consider the benefits of selling your horses at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Sales. The NRCHA Sale Committee has been listening to feedback from last year's sellers and buyers and we're writing to let you know some of the new steps that have been taken to improve the sales and make them more convenient and profitable for you. First, there will be three days of sales - Thursday, September 29 thru Saturday October 1 - and the consignment deadline has been changed to July 15 to give more time for you to make your decisions and have your videos ready and applications filled out

The cost of selling and of buybacks has been reduced, as well, with an across-the-board 9% commission for all sales and buyback equaling consignment fee except Classic Yearling and Broodmare Sale, which will be $250. At each sale, there will be a knowledgeable pedigree commentator to help explain and highlight the sale horses. Currently, we're planning to have Ted Robinson, Benny Guitron, Robert Chown and Pete Bowling - some real authorities in the reined cow horse industry. We're also working on creating some other benefits for buyers and sellers that will be announced in coming months! Please let us know if you have any suggestions. We're always interested in your input and we're looking forward to having you on board for 2011.
Sincerely, Sandy Collier NRCHA Sale Committee Chairman (sandycollier@earthlink.net) |
